Clyde Valley Drilling has been praised for its state-of-the-art, pioneering IT system, for which it also won a Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire Award in February this year.
The system maximizes efficiency and ensures frequent, easy communication within the company by integrating plant tracking software, financial systems, satellite tracking, job control, and a bespoke CRM task management system. The system has been commended for its highly beneficial effect on costs, manpower, and admin for CVD.
"We are delighted at winning this prestigious award," commented Owen Barrett, Managing Director of Clyde Valley Drilling. "It is even more satisfying as we were up against stiff competition. Since launched earlier this year, the interest in our IT system has been incredible and this is the second award we have won in the last few months."
The Eurocentral based company has flourished in the decade since its launch, lead by Managing Director Owen Barrett. It employs seventy-five people and has grown to a turnover of £5 million, establishing itself as the forerunner in diamond drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and finishing services, and fire protection.
Their projects include nuclear decommissioning work at Dounreay, which the CVD staff completed three months ahead of schedule, and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum refurbishment in Glasgow.
CVD's new, custom-built £2 million headquarters were opened in April by Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal.
