CVD Awarded Gold CSCS Certificate
Clyde Valley Drilling has been awarded the Gold Standard Certificate of Commitment from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) which highlights the company’s commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
The Gold Standard certificate is only awarded to companies where at least 75% of its workforce is registered under the CSCS Scheme.
The majority of the construction industry’s clients, regardless of status, now request that contractors have a CSCS carded workforce.

“This is an important achievement in CVD’s commitment to the continued training of its staff,” said Owen Barrett, Managing Director.
“It is vital that our workers understand the importance of a safe working environment both for themselves and others working around them and this accreditation means that CVD can offer clients further evidence that it is dedicated to providing first class service with fully trained staff.”
CSCS has been in existence for over 10 years and is supported by organisations such as the Major Contractors Group (MCG), National Contractors Federation and the Major Home Builders Group (MHBG).
Earlier this year, Clyde Valley Drilling Group moved into new purpose built £2million premises at Eurocentral. The business employs 75 people and turnover has grown to over £5million. Projects range from nuclear decommissioning work at Dounreay to installing a 4000sq ft Superfloor in the prestigious Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum refurbishment.
